Student Recruitment and Community Outreach Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Administrative Services

Classification: Non-Exempt, Full-Time, At-Will employer 

 

Summary:  The Student Recruitment and Community Outreach Coordinator assists with recruitment efforts for all College Achieve Central Charter School campuses, as well as maintaining and creating great relationships with local organizations and Early Education centers to generate enrollment.

 

Main duties and daily responsibilities include: (75%) 

  • Assist with student recruitment efforts during the open enrollment period and throughout the school year.. 

  • Assist with student recruitment presentations and information sessions at various locations within the community and at the school sites.

  • Canvass local businesses and community centers to promote College Achieve to new families.

  • Establish relationships with community organizations, such as early ed centers, pre-schools and youth sports leagues to facilitate student recruitment.

  • Work collaboratively with the schools to effectively implement processes, procedures, and protocols that lead to developing and maintaining capacity enrollment at all College Achieve Central Charter Schools' campuses

  • Maintain consistent and frequent communication with the school offices and school directors to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient enrollment practices are in place  

  • Develop community partnerships with local organizations for the benefit of College Achieve students and families.

  • Assist with parent workshops, classes, information sessions, parent meetings, and special events for parents and families as needed.

  • Make recommendations regarding the content of student recruitment materials and presentations.

  • Work collaboratively with on-site office staff to communicate student enrollment needs and outcomes. 

  • Maintain respectful written and oral communication in responding to inquiries, taking messages, and directing calls to appropriate persons.  

  • Greet and assist students, parents, staff, and any visitors warmly and in a professional manner

  • Schedule and meet with families of new students, assist in collecting required documents to complete new enrollment

  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Administrative services in verifying student enrollment with residing districts

  • Support in completing student enrollment and cumulative folders

  • Support in accurate reporting and data entry into Student Information System for State and Federal reporting

  • Support with execution of Marketing Campaigns 

  • Contact interested parents within 24 hours of receiving application and request for information leads via phone

  • Maintain application tracker along student enrollment and transfer files 

 

Additional responsibilities as assigned: (15%) 

  • Assist with parent volunteer activities as needed.

  • Maintain a log of recruitment activities and outcomes if requested.

  • Assist with the implementation of College Achieve’s parent engagement plan to encourage a high level of parent participation.

  • Additional tasks, as assigned by College Achieve Central Charter School.

 

Physical demands:  

• Ability to continuously sit, stand or walk.  

•Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift, and carry heavy items

•Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally. 

 

Work environment:  

•May occasionally work in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.  

•May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.  

•Can work off elevated surfaces on an occasional basis during each shift.  

•Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud. 

 
  • Bilingual preferred 

    Salary: 
    55,000-65,000/annually
