Description TITLE OF OPEN POSITION:                   School Nurse – Anticipated


DATE POSITION WILL BE VACANT:   August 21, 2024

APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL: May 3, 2024 or until a suitable candidate is found

SALARY: As per contract between the Board of Education and the Phillipsburg Education Association

QUALIFICATIONS, MANDATORY:
1.   New Jersey Certification as School Nurse or Eligibility

Competence in knowledge/skills
Student-centered focus

4.   Required criminal history background check

QUALIFICATIONS, DESIRED:   1.   Experience working with school-age children
                                                                        2.   Good organizational and interpersonal skills
                                                                        3.   Knowledgeable about childhood diseases
                                                                        4. Knowledgeable about state regulations
                                                                        5.   Excellent record keeping skills
                                                                        6.   Computer literate and familiar w/ NJIIS -
                                                                              (New Jersey Immunization Information System)
                                                                        7. Knowledgeable about community agencies
                                                                        8.   Able to communicate effectively with parents
