Extended School Year Speech-Language Therapist

Avon-by-the-Sea School District is a one building district serving approximately 120 students in grades PreK through Grade Eight. We are in search of a part-time summer extended school year Speech-Language Therapist for an anticipated four hours per week Monday-Thursday from July 8 - August 1, 2024. Applicants must possess the required certification and demonstrate a successful track record of exceptional instructional pedagogy, advanced technology skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across many platforms. 

 

Required NJ Certification:

  • Valid New Jersey Speech Language Specialist Standard Certificate (3462)

Desired Experience with Coordination and Implementation of:

  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge in the field of speech-language pathology 
  • Ability to effectively apply the principles of assessment, treatment and prevention of speech, language and hearing disorders  
  • Expertise in case management as it pertains to the identification, evaluation, eligibility, and progress monitoring process for speech-language services and ensuring IEP compliance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
