Transition Coordinator - HS
♦Tenure Track ♦Full-time 10-Month Position

We are looking for a dynamic self-starter who can guide the transition of students with and without disabilities from high school to post-secondary activities, such as higher education, vocational training, employment, or independent living.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid NJDOE Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSWD), or Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH)
Valid NJDOE Instructional Certificate to include Grades 9-12.
Experience working with students in the secondary setting.
Experience working with students who have transition-related needs.
SLE certification preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
Must meet NJ Residency requirements as per the New Jersey First Act, N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70).

JOB DESCRIPTION: Pending BOE Approval

REPORTS TO: Principal/Supervisor of Special Services

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Terms of tenure track position per collective bargaining agreement. Starting salary: Step 1BA - $71,017 / Step 1MA - $79,122 (pending completion of negotiations).
