Description Position: Teacher of Biology - High School Science Grades 9-12 - 2 Positions Available

Position Summary: Ridgewood Public Schools seeks a Biology Teacher at Ridgewood High School for the 2024-2025 school year. Selected candidate will be responsible for teaching various levels of Biology. Opportunities to teach electives and engineering courses exist.

Qualifications:

New Jersey Teacher of Science Biology required; second endorsement in Chemistry preferred
Experience teaching high school biology
Experience in implementing inquiry-based instruction
Knowledge of Next Generation Science Standards
Skilled in strategic instruction in the NJ Student Learning Standards
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
Self-motivated in his/her/their pursuit of professional growth

Start Date: August 28, 2024 plus 3 days NTO in August

Working Conditions: 10 month, full-time, tenure track position, salary as per negotiated contract with benefits
