POSITION(S):        Preschool Paraprofessional (3)

EFFECTIVE DATE:    September 1, 2024

CERTIFICATION:   Special Education Paraprofessional

SALARY:                Based on Collective Bargaining Agreement

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma required 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for young children
• Assisting teachers with daily lessons
• Helping children use the bathroom or, when necessary, changing diapers
• Handling basic hygiene needs such as handwashing
• Preparing children for and supervising them during naptime
• Serving lunch or healthy snacks
• Supporting preschool teachers with preferred classroom management and discipline strategies
